On the farm

On the farm this can conjure up all sorts of ideas, sheep in the fields, meadows, the farmhouse, the animals on the farm, there are just lots and lots of inspiration out there.  I'm fortunate to live in the area close to the Yorkshire Dales so you can imagine the beautiful scenery and the lovely farms out there.

So for my inspiration I have used stamps that reflect the country side  with a farm and the meadows surrounding  plus the farmers 'work horses'   the transport.

So here is my contribution:-

What I used:-

Woodware Clear Magic FRS244 Country Fields
Woodware Clear Magic
Colouring Medium ( I used alcohol pens)
Gelly Roll pens  Metallic Black and Glaze in red and green
White liquid pearls
8 x 8 card blank
2 patterned papers one light coloured and one darker
Light green co-ordinations  card stock
White card
Black card
Black Momento ink pad
Adhesives
Adhesive gems

and this is what I did:-

1 Cut 8'' x 8'' piece of the lighter patterned paper and cover the front of the card blank using Double sided tape.

2 Cut the matts from the darker patterned paper and the light green co-ordinations card, and attach these to the front of the card blank again using double sided tape.

3 Take the country fields stamp and stamp onto a piece of white card using the black Momento ink pad, also stamp the Landrover and the tractor on to 2 separate pieces of white card.

4 Colour the Country Fields with whatever medium you have chosen.  ( I used alcohol markers. )  Trim this panel down to the size you want and then cut a black matt with about 1/4'' border around it.  Adhere these 2 layers together with double sided tape.  Once you have got to this stage take the White liquid pearls and put small dots in the centres of the flowers in the foreground.  Put this piece to the side and allow it to completely dry.

5 Next take the Landrover and the Tractor pieces and cut matts in black card with about 1/8'' border around them and adhere the white and black card together.

6 For colouring the Land rover and Tractor I used the Gelly Roll Red and Green Glaze pens and the Gelly Roll Metallic Pen.  The Glaze pens take just a little longer to dry so put the pieces to one side and let them dry.

7 Once the pieces have dried attach the Country Fields panel to the center front of the card

8 The Landrover and the Tractor were added next and were attached to the card using 3D foam to give some dimension.

9 I then added small adhesive gems to the corners of the Black matt and to the corners of the light green co-ordinations card stock.  I grouped 3 gems in the top left and bottom right corners and a single gem in the top right and bottom left.

There you have it my ideas of 'On the Farm'

I hope you like the card I had a great time putting it together.

If you are in the UK or Europe and would like to purchase any of the products for the above projects they are all available from The Stampman or your local Woodware Stockist.
