The last week in May where is this year going. For my final post this month I thought both Flora and Fauna should be included. So here is my card.
Technique wise I have used a basic Embossing paste Technique and then added colour using the Metallic FX and a glue pad.
Technique wise I have used a basic Embossing paste Technique and then added colour using the Metallic FX and a glue pad.
This is what you will need to create the card
Dreamweaver Stencil LM148, Metallic FX powders:- Gold dust, Eye of the Tiger, Kiwi and Navajo Sky, White matte embossing paste, a palette glue pad, a jumbo finger dauber, a White Tag (mine was approximately 21/2'' by 41/2 ''), a 6'' x 6'' square of patterned paper, a piece of different patterned paper approximately 3'' by 5'', a 6'' x6'' white blank card, 2 small pieces of organza ribbon and the usual palette knife, low tack tape, kitchen paper, dish for cleaning stencils and stencil brushes
And this is how you create it:-
Using the low tack tape attach the stencil and tape around all four sides of your stencil. Take the palette knife and apply the paste to the design. Once this is complete remove the stencil Tand place in water and put to the design to one side to dry. The stencil should now be washed and cleaned and dry ready for the next step.
Re-attach the stencil to the tag and with the jumbo dauber and the palette glue pad cover the design tap gently over the image but make sure you get a good coverage of the ink/glue. Remove the stencil and with a heat gun heat the design the amount of time it takes to complete this process is usually about the length of time it takes to sing Happy Birthday 3 times, (I don't know why but it just works). The final stage is to apply the colour to your design using the Metallic FX powders and Stencil brushes. This is where your imagination can come in you do what ever colour choice you want. After the powder has been applied the final stage is to matte and layer the card, in my case I cut into the patterned paper to create a corner that the tag would fit in.
Hope its given you some more ideas and got you create thoughts going.
This is what the rest of the Dream Team have been doing this week with Flora and Fauna
If you are in the UK or Europe and would like to purchase any of the products for the above project they are all available from The Stampman or your local Woodware Stockist.
