Today's card........... A stencil Zentangle card...........
With the wind so blustery outside I thought I'd show something that when I was doing the design was very calming.
This card was one of my first attempts at Zentangle - and I don't know about you but I found it to be so relaxing and all I was doing was doodling. The card itself is 6" x 6" and the bottom edge of the card is punched with an EK Success border punch - I can't tell the name as its been in my crafting box for numerous years. The black and white card and paper used for the matts were also out of my scrap box and they served their purpose.
The actual design of the butterfly came as a result of tracing the outlines from the Dreamweaver Stencil LG740 the large open butterfly. To outline the design and to doodle I used micron pens.
I didn't follow any patterns I simply doodled, I just made sure the the designs were balanced across the 2 halves of the butterfly. The background of the design was plain white and to break this up I randomly did 3 dots with one of the pens, it stops the background from being very bright. My final addition to the card was a knotted piece of black and white spotted grosgrain .
ribbon.
I must admit there is something about black and white cards that have ( I feel) a touch of elegance
Hope you like

Your doodles are lovely, I thought that you had over stamped the stencilled design
