Funky Shaped Cards

What a change over the last few days not as wet, some bright spells and colder...... a lot colder.  I think that we are all fed up of the horrid weather, floods and misery it has brought. There is one thing with craft you can put the weather to one side and craft.

So this weeks theme is Funky Cards Sorry I read the title wrong and thought it was 'Funky Cards and not Funky Shaped Cards   Oooops!.  The subject matter can be anything and for me its bright and random.  My card this week is another quick and very easy  card.to complete.

So here is my funky card,

and this is what I used:-

White card
Forever in time Decorative Paper Tape
A small piece of light coloured patterned paper
Pearl adhesive gems
Coloured burlap flowers
Red spotted organza ribbon
Black Micron pen
Sentiment stamp

This is how I constructed the card.

1  Take a sheet of A4 white card and cut in half down the length of the card.  Fold one of the pieces on half.

2  Cut the patterned paper for the bottom matt The matt should be 1/4''smaller on each side than the base card. This is stuck to the base card

3  The top white matt is also cut so that there will be a 1/4'' border around it.

4  To decorate the white matt take 6 different lengths of the decorative paper tape, I only used the coloured tapes in the pack.. Before sticking the tape to the matt cut one end as a bow ribbon.

5  Stick the pieces of tape on to the white matt to the left hand side and make sure that they are of different lengths.

6  Stick the white matt to the background, and sand adhered the 2 togethertick the 3 coloured burlap flowers into the top right hand corner.

7  Along the folded edge of the card stick a row of pearl adhesive gems, lining them up with the edge of the white matt.

8  Tie a bow with the ribbon and place this against the folded edge and to the left of the pearl adhesive gems.

9  Take the micron pen and do faux stitching along all the edges of the decorative tape.

10  The final piece is to make the sentiment panel.  I used a black Stazon stamp and stamped on to a piece of white card.  I choose a colour from the decorative tape to cut the matt for the sentiment. The 2 were then adhered together.  The sentiment was the applied to the card with 3D foam
