Scallops, Circles and Curls

Well hello!

I'm back to my blogging and I am really pleased and excited to be blogging again.  Also before I forget a Happy New Year and all the best for 2016.  Lets hope its a healthy and peaceful one.

This weeks Woodware theme is 'Scallops, Circles and Swirls,  The design I have completed is made using the old faithful peel off with the added technique of doodling.  Any area can be filled and any doodle or zentangle design can be used.  I simply doodled.

I have always thought the monochrome idea was clean and fresh.

So here is my card, details of what is needed and the way I put it together.

Requirements
Black Pop Circle Peel Off 94093B
Gold Curly Q,s Peel Off 93366G
Black Card for base card (6'' x 12'')
White card
Black card
Gold Mirri board
Adhesives -Double sided tape and 3D foam
Clear self adhesive gems
Pigma micron pen 0.3
White organza ribbon

Construction
1  Fold the 6'' x 12'' in half.  This will be a 6'' x6'' completed card

2  Cut a 33/4'' diameter circle in Gold Mirri.

3  Cut 31/4 inch diameter circle in black card

4  Cut 3'' diameter circle in white (I used a textured white card for this layer).

5  Take another small piece of white card and apply one of the circle peel off designs.
A tip for anyone who struggles with keeping the peel off smooth when attached to the card remove the peel off from the backing sheet and place with the sticky side up and place the card over the top and gently rub to get good adhesion. ( I used  a smooth card for this)

6  Cut around the edge of the peel off motif and as close to the edge as possible.

7  Do your doodling and zentangle designs into the design of the peel off.

8  The Curly Q'S peel offs are placed around the outer edge of the card

9  The layers of matts are applied as follows Gold Mirri with Double sided tape.  The black layer also attached with double sided tape.  The white layer is attached using 3D foam. The top layer (the peel off motif) is attached with double sided tape.

10  On the motif I added clear adhesive gems to the small circle in the peel off design.

11  Finally a piece of white organza ribbon was tied round the spine and a bow completes the card.

There are of course other ways of using and colouring peel offs the obvious one to colour the design in and then use complimentary papers and card to complete.

Well I hope you like the card , that's it for today ,next week a whole new theme.

Bye for now, thanking for looking, don't forget to check out the rest of the team's work on the Woodware Blog.
