Woodware Creating Embellishments

The weather has definitely change this week, I'm glad in some ways as it will hopefully get rid of some of the germs that have being passed around everyone........hopefully.  Even so I think I prefer the warmer weather.  Touchwood here at home we haven't had any snow only the odd flake or two.  Hopefully that won't change the situation as it is.

The challenge this week is to 'create embellishments.  I love to spend time messing I think this comes from having the patience to craft Pergamano.  So this week I am going to get 'faffy' and complete my own flowers with a Leonie Em miniature multi .punch.  I discovered this small punch when checking out the Woodware punches and basically I knew I had to use it.

So here goes, this a lot slower card to make as the flowers are a bit fiddly, but once a couple have been made you do get a lot quicker.

This is the card:-

 Requirements

Bubble Bloom - Carol  JGS390
A4 sheet Cream card
Scraps of double sided patterned paper
Scrap of lime card
Gold liquid pearls
Versafine Black Ink Pad
3D foam
Double sidied adhesive
PVA glue
Koi colouring brush pen - Sap Green

Process
1  Take A4 sheet of cream card and cut a piece 8'' long.  Score down the length of the card and fold.

2  Cut a matt 31/2'' x 71/2'' from the patterned paper.  Stick this to the centre of the base card.  The side to be stuck down is the opposite one to the flowers.

3  Use the spare piece of cream card and stamp the Bubble Bloom stamp with the Versafine ink pad.

4  Trim the stamped image so that there is a 1/4'' border around the edge.

5  Take the perfect pearls and make small dots over all the  stamped dots on the image. Put this piece to one side to dry

6  The next photo shows the number of punch shapes that are needed for each flower.
The third, forth and bottom row show how the flower is put together.

.
The additional flowers are flat and made from the rounded flower and the daisy. The total number of flowers that will need to be punched are as follows:-

25  x small fan shaped shape in pink
11 x small rounded flowers in pink
11 small daisy in lime green

7  The next step is to put the flowers together, I used small 3D foam squares.  (see picture above).  The flowers were then attached to the stamped design  The lime daisy was attached with a small dot of wet glue.

8  The flat flower was simply a small rounded flower with a daisy adhered to the top. These were then attached to the card with wet glue.

9 The panel is matted on to a piece of the same paper as the flowers and with a 1/4'' border.

10  The sentiment was stamped with the versafine black and the edge also was coloured with this ink pad.  This was matted onto the pink paper with a 1/4'' border.  The sentiment was then attached to the card with 3D foam

11  The leaves were coloured with the Colouring brush pen.  A small drop of the liquid pearls was put into the centre of all the flowers and the corners of both pink matts.

Bye for now, thanks for stopping by. You can get more inspiration from the rest of the team by visiting the Woodware blog at https://woodwarewitterings.wordpress.com/
